| 1. |
Dez Bryant - Cowboys WR
WR1 potential is head and shoulders above the field at this point. Top 5 WR upside outweighs red flags. Steps into a team with a lot of firepower and a QB that is finally coming into his own. A great landing spot for Bryant as he should get plenty of developmental support in Dallas. |
|
| 2. |
Sam Bradford - Rams QB
If he proves healthy, has franchise QB potential. Accuracy is impeccable. Will need a season to grow. Can the Rams keep him upright? |
|
| 3. |
Mike Williams - Bucs WR
Very much a Beast vs. Bust prospect, but looks to have put off the field issues behind him and having a great camp. Already listed as the #1 WR option in Tampa. While this could change, his upside has him ranked as on of our top upside reaches. |
|
| 4. |
Ryan Mathews - Chargers RB
Matthews has the potential to be the most complete back in this class and he landed in San Diego, who desperately needed an RB. 250-300 touches in his rookie season give him the best chance to have immediate fantasy value. |
|
| 5. |
Demaryius Thomas - Broncos WR
Dynasty upside as high as anyone in this draft and he ended up being the first WR off the board. A freakishly beast of an athlete. Instantly becomes Broncos WR1, but don't forget that he will still face a learning curve despite his huge talent. |
|
| 6. |
CJ Spiller - Bills RB
Dynamic, game-breaking talent is not a feature back, but is the best RB talent in this draft. An immediate 20 touches per game is likely. Nice landing spot in Buffalo, especially if they trade Marshawn Lynch. |
|
| 7. |
Jermaine Gresham - Bengals TE
Huge target is loaded with upside. Best TE prospect in this class has a chance to be elite. Bengals finally get a TE with pass catching skills. |
|
| 8. |
Jahvid Best - Lions RB
Undersized and always injured. Lots of playmaking ability. Opportunity to step right in for the Lions and will play exceptionally fast on the Detroit turf. The Lions are turning into an offensive threat, so plenty of room for Best to grow into a versatile threat. |
|
| 9. |
LeGarrette Blount - Titans RB
Undrafted. Made headlines for his knockout right, but Blount has real RB upside if he can avoid being cast as a FB. |
|
| 10. |
Aaron Hernandez - Patriots TE
Elite receiver at the position, Hernandez lacks ideal size but will fill the Ben Watson role in N.E working the underneath and over the middle routes. |
|
| 11. |
Rob Gronkowski - Patriots TE
An excellent spot in N.E. More of a vertical threat than Ben Watson, so he is a weapon for Brady to get excited about. His back injury still has us concerned or else he would be ranked way higher. Not the best pass catching TE on the roster however. |
|
| 12. |
Emmanuel Sanders - Steelers WR
Intriguing prospect could see time in 2010 for the Steelers at WR3. Similar build and skillset to Santonio Holmes. |
|
| 13. |
Golden Tate - Seahawks WR
Tate lands in WR needy Seattle. He is close to NFL ready, but needs work on route running and being more physical. Instant impact is likely. Upside of a very good WR2. |
|
| 14. |
Jordan Shipley - Bengals WR
Upside may be limited, but he has the makings of an excellent WR2 for the Bengals in time. Great hands and more skills than he is given credit for. |
|
| 15. |
Brandon LaFell - Panthers WR
LaFell lands in a spot with almost zero competition for passes outside of Steve Smith. With solid blocking ability and possession/redzone skills, the Panthers see their new Muhsin Muhammad. |
|
| 16. |
Jimmy Graham - Saints TE
Could be a real find for the Saints if he can develop. Former basketball player is a raw product, but oozes upside. Built for the redzone. |
|
| 17. |
Tim Tebow - Broncos QB
The most controversial prospect in recent memory, Tebow was an elite college player with a questionable NFL future. He is worth a roll of the dice, however be prepared to invest a lot of time into his development, just as the Broncos will. |
|
| 18. |
Arrelious Benn - Bucs WR
Already the #2 in Tampa and could eventually grow into the #1. Ideal frame and speed, Benn will need to overcome his mediocre hands and improve his route running to reach his potential. |
|
| 19. |
Jacoby Ford - Raiders WR
Draft experts should have looked at his 40 time and lack of developed WR skills and penciled him into Oakland. He is a project but with that much speed, there is upside. |
|
| 20. |
Colt McCoy - Browns QB
Cleveland's West Coast Offense is a great situation for McCoy's skill set. His accuracy and intangibles are ideal for what Holmgren is building in Cle. He lacks the huge arm and ideal size, but do not overlook his potential. Sitting for a season or two will serve him well. |
|
| 21. |
Dexter McCluster - Chiefs RB/WR
Dexter will be listed as a WR for the Chiefs, but as he said himself, he is an offensive weapon. The creative Charlie Weiss will deploy him properly, making him an intriguing Dynasty pick. |
|
| 22. |
Toby Gerhart - Vikings RB
Gerhart becomes the new Adrian Peterson handcuff, which has value in any Dynasty league. He may get a few carries a game to spell ADP, but immediate impact is not expected without an injury. Look for his rank to continuously move up over his career. |
|
| 23. |
David Gettis - Panthers
It a tough situation, but a big body with speed. Big time upside. |
|
| 24. |
Blair White - Colts WR
White is a physical player that can make the tough catch over the middle. It was very surprising he wasn't drafted, however a WR landing in Indy can only help his development. An underrated player here worth a Dynasty Rookie Draft pick. |
|
| 25. |
Jimmy Clausen - Panthers QB
Potential QB1 dropped all the way to the Panthers in Round 2, which is the same round you should target him in your Rookie Draft. If you are in a QB heavy league, he's a late first rounder. |
|
| 26. |
Damian Williams - Titans WR
Could be a very productive rookie, excellent route runner with a strong work ethic make him a Top 5 WR. Long term, could form a dangerous duo with Kenny Britt. |
|
| 27. |
Jonathan Dwyer - Steelers RB
An absolute steal for Pittsburgh in the 6th round. Ideal size and running style, but he lacks elite speed. Could be a Mendenhall handcuff in 2010 although his versatility is somewhat limited and may be relegated to goal line carries. Has upside however. |
|
| 28. |
Anthony Dixon - 49ers RB
Punishing RB has size and power to be a clock-eating weapon. Will start out spelling Gore, but could eventually replace him as the feature back in a few seasons. |
|
| 29. |
Mardy Gilyard - Rams WR
He is an elusive playmaker, but his build dropped him to the top of the 4th round. The Rams are not complaining, he could be the best receiver on their roster this year. |
|
| 30. |
Ben Tate - Texans RB
One cut runner may have found an ideal home in Houston, but an ankle injury ends his rookie year before it even starts. There is long term value here, stash him away for 2011. |
|
| 31. |
James Starks - Packers RB
If it were not for a shoulder injury that cost him the 2009 season, Starks might be getting more love. If he proves to be healthy, he could be a steal for the Packers. He has 3 down back potential. |
|
| 32. |
John Skelton - Cardinals QB
A project that may just be the Cardinals QB of the future. His size and arm strength are prototypical, but needs to hone his accuracy and decision-making. |
|
| 33. |
Riley Cooper - Eagles WR
Size, strength and hands to be a true asset in the Eagles passing game. Cooper is an excellent athlete and has redzone potential. |
|
| 34. |
Joe Webb - Vikings QB
Athletic, highly productive college QB was drafted as a WR, but was impressive enough in minicamp that the Viks decided to keep him under center. A project, but one with Vick/Vince Young type upside. |
|
| 35. |
Deji Karim - Jaguars RB
Built like MJD light, 1,700 yards at 7.1 a pop is interesting. Currently behind two talented backs in MJD and Rashad Jennings, but if he can make the team in 2010, his upside grows. |
|
| 36. |
Eric Decker - Broncos WR
Just about NFL ready, Decker runs very good routes, has excellent size and solid speed. A future PPR asset for the Broncos, he could outproduce first rounder Demaryius Thomas in 2010. Reminds us of Ed McCaffery. |
|
| 37. |
Carlton Mitchell - Browns WR
The Browns could have a dangerous WR corp. in a few seasons. Mitchell has the body and upside of a WR1, but needs to hone his hands and route running. |
|
| 38. |
Taylor Price - Patriots WR
An excellent route runner with solid size and speed, he lands in receiver-needy New England. Should battle Brandon Tate for playing time right away, but will need a few seasons to fully develop. |
|
| 39. |
Armanti Edwards - Panthers WR
Edwards is a spectacular athlete that will move off QB in the NFL. He should be drafted for his upside and ability to make plays on the field. Not much opportunity to be a QB in a now crowded QB position in Carolina. |
|
| 40. |
Andre Roberts - Cardinals WR
Not a redzone asset or a deep threat, but Roberts is a tireless worker that will be an asset right away on special teams. Long term, he could push Early Doucet and Steve Breaston. |
|
| 41. |
Dorin Dickerson - Texans WR
Arguably the second best TE fell to the 7th Round, but he is converting to WR. Upside pick. |
|
| 42. |
Joe McKnight - Jets RB
3rd down back with upside could be Robin to Shonn Greene's Batman by 2011. May be limited to kick returns with LT2 on the roster, but his upside is higher than that. PPR leaguers pay attention. |
|
| 43. |
Montario Hardesty - Browns RB
The Browns have Jerome Harrison, but Hardesty could immediately enter into a timeshare with him. Reconstructed knees make him a risky selection, but upside makes him worth it. Very good ball security. |
|
| 44. |
Stephen Williams - Cardinals WR
A 6'5", 190 lb. WR that has put on a show during the preseason. He could be 4th on the depth chart this year if he continues to develop, keep an eye on him. |
|
| 45. |
Mike Kafka - Eagles QB
A long way to go, but a high upside player eventually. An excellent offense to learn as a backup. |
|
| 46. |
Max Hall - Cardinals QB
The Cardinals like what this polished BYU QB brings to the table. Could compete with the raw but talented John Skelton in 2011. |
|
| 47. |
Marcus Easley -Bills WR
Love his upside, but a bad knee injury will set him back at least another season. Still a young player with plenty of time to grow, but patience will be required here. |
|
| 48. |
Jonathan Crompton - Chargers QB
Crompton never lived up to his potential at Tennessee, but has huge upside. Patience will be required. A nice offense to learn his trade. |
|
| 49. |
Dezmon Briscoe -Bengals WR
Size, speed and hands are all solid. Not getting much love right now, but he could develop for the Bengals. |
|
| 50. |
Kerry Meier - Falcons WR
6-3, 220 lb. receiver that catches everything thrown his way. A long term project that will miss his rookie year due to injury. |
|
