It has gotten more athletic with the likes of Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates showing true go-to ability in the passing game. And the position is still growing today with an influx of a new crop of potential Beasts, led by two of the most dangerous weapons in all of the NFL. One is a combination of brute strength and skills, the other elite athleticism and size. Let's take a look at the head to head matchup between Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham.

This years class is considerably weak compared to the last few, but there is talent in this group and the trick in 2011 will be to decide when or if to make a move on one of these players in your Dynasty Rookie Draft.

2010 NFL Rookie Tight End Profiles
The NFL Tight End is evolving. As teams spread the ball out, a TE who can serve as a legitimate receiving option is very important. Most of the highest rated prospects will fall in the 6'5 - 250 lb range with superior athleticism. Traditional blocking ability is less of a barometer for a players future success (especially in the fantasy world), however it can be a decent indicator of how quickly they can make the transition and thus see game action.
