| 1. |
Aaron Rodgers - Packers
Beast! Easily the top rated fantasy QB in the league. Concussions are the only concern here. |
|
| 2. |
Matthew Stafford - Lions
One of the most naturally talented QB's in the league. Health is the only question mark. |
|
| 3. |
Cam Newton (R) - Panthers
Best rookie QB fantasy season ever. Still has even more upside than what we saw in 2011. Risk of a sophomore slump is there, but long term he's a Beast without question. |
|
| 4. |
Philip Rivers - Chargers
In a down year, he managed 4,600+ yards and 26 TD's. Don't worry about the INT's, he is an elite and consistent fantasy scorer. |
|
| 5. |
Drew Brees - Saints
Keeps on churning out Beast numbers. Offensive weapons and play calling should see to that continuing. |
|
| 6. |
Matt Ryan - Falcons
Has shown consistent fantasy ability and elevated his game this year. The future is even brighter. Has the passing weapons to be a Top 10 QB for the next 5-7 years. |
|
| 7. |
Eli Manning - Giants
Breakout season as Eli continues to improve his game each season. He's a legit QB1. |
|
| 8. |
Tom Brady - Patriots
Continues to put up QB1 numbers, but age is a factor. He's a sell if you are rebuilding but a buy if you're a QB away from contending. |
|
| 9. |
Josh Freeman - Bucs
After stellar sophomore season, Freeman has cooled some, but still offers sky high upside. |
|
| 10. |
Ben Roethlisberger - Steelers
Big Ben has had his share of troubles off the field, but on the field he is all business. Not an elite option, but a solid backend QB1/2. |
|
| 11. |
Sam Bradford - Rams
Still growing as a prospect, buy low candidate for 2012 potential breakout. Pivotal season coming up. |
|
| 12. |
Michael Vick - Eagles
Not quite his breakout 2010 season, but Vick was solid in 2011. He is a rare QB1 that adds RB1 stats with his rushing numbers. Takes RB type hits as well, so longevity is a concern. |
|
| 13. |
Tony Romo - Cowboys
Plenty of weapons to support him for the remainder of his career in Dallas. |
|
| 14. |
Joe Flacco - Ravens
QB1 optimism is fading, looking more like a perennial QB2. Still has upside however. |
|
| 15. |
Andy Dalton (R) - Bengals
Impressive rookie season, but more of a QB2 long term. |
|
| 16. |
Jay Cutler - Bears
Elite skill set, but his head keeps him from making the perennial jump to Top 10 status. Needs more weapons and to cut down on the mistakes. |
|
| 17. |
Matt Schaub - Texans
A fantasy beast that is not an elite NFL QB. This will likely catch up to him over the long term, but enjoy the production now. |
|
| 18. |
Peyton Manning - Colts
2012 Comeback Player of the Year. Hopefully. |
|
| 19. |
Jake Locker (R) - Titans
Only played in 5 games this year and flashed major potential. Still needs time to develop, but should see more action in 2012. He's a buy if you need a young developmental QB. |
|
| 20. |
Mark Sanchez - Jets
Seemed to regress in real football, but put up his best fantasy season. Needs to take a step forward in 2012. |
|
| 21. |
Carson Palmer - Raiders
Back from retirement, he's the master of garbage time points. Has a solid team around him, QB2 value for another few seasons. |
|
| 22. |
Tim Tebow - Broncos
It's not pretty, but it works for fantasy. Remains to be seen if it will work long term for the Broncos. |
|
| 23. |
Christian Ponder (R) - Vikings
Ponder showed enough when healthy in the 2nd half of the season to have Viks stick with him. Needs a jump in year 2. |
|
| 24. |
Matt Flynn - Packers
Hype train will be reaching it's peak in a few months. Should he find a nice landing spot, he's got solid QB2 value. |
|
| 25. |
Matt Cassel - Chiefs
Settles in as a decent QB2, but could have competition for his job. He's somewhere in between 2009 and 2010. |
|
| 26. |
Ryan Fitzpatrick - Bills
Genius Gunslinger got his large contract and almost immediately his play started to go downhill. Needs a strong open and close to 2012 to remain in their long term plans. |
|
| 27. |
Kevin Kolb - Cardinals
Brutal season and he's a major concussion risk. Could be solid QB2 if he gets it together in 2012. |
|
| 28. |
Alex Smith - 49ers
Not much upside, Smith is a game-managing QB2/3. |
|
| 29. |
Colt McCoy - Browns
Limited arm strength, but enough talent to be a QB2. Might not be the answer in Cleveland however. |
|
| 30. |
Colin Kaepernick (R) - 49ers
Beast Upside, but raw talent that will take time to develop. Will likely need to wait a few seasons, but that could benefit him in the long term. |
|
| 31. |
Kyle Orton - Chiefs
Perennial QB2 since he will likely never stay in one situation for a long period of time. Has the potential for Top-15 numbers for a few seasons if he could find a long term gig. |
|
| 32. |
Chad Henne - Dolphins
Was showing some signs of growth before a shoulder injury landed him on IR. |
|
| 33. |
Blaine Gabbert (R) - Jaguars
Bred to be an NFL QB. The jury is still out, but Gabbert is in a nice situation to sit for a season behind veteran David Garrard. He'll likely see the field by Week 10. |
|
| 34. |
Josh Johnson - Bucs.
An extremely gifted athlete, but he is young and has a lot to learn. He is a free agent after 2011. Roster him now. |
|
| 35. |
John Skelton - Cardinals
Skelton has the skillset, but needs more time to develop. A definite handcuff for Kolb owners in deep leagues. |
|
| 36. |
Joe Webb - Vikings
Still a long way to go, but some nice upside if Ponder doesn't pan out. |
|
| 37. |
Ryan Mallet (R) - Patriots
Has the intangibles, will likely get moved in 2 or 3 seasons for a team looking for a QB groomed behind Tom Brady. |
|
| 38. |
TJ Yates (R) - Texans
Showed poise down the stretch. Handcuff for Schaub owners will some long term upside. |
|
| 39. |
Jason Campbell - Raiders
Held his own and has starter ability, but season ending injury hurts his value. |
|
| 40. |
Matt Moore - Dolphins
Showed enough in 2011 to earn him at the very least a shot to start next season. |
|
| 41. |
Tarvaris Jackson - Seahawks
Tarvaris showed us a few things in 2011, most importantly that he is nothing more than a league average QB. |
|
| 42. |
Vince Young - Eagles
Can he handle the stress of being a starting QB? He's more NFL back-up material. |
|
| 43. |
Brian Hoyer - Patriots
Has a long way to go before seeing any action. He has shown good poise with his opportunities and he is learning from one of the most productive head coach/QB combos in the history of the NFL. Will he leave for greener pastures? |
|
| 44. |
Terrelle Pryor (R) - Raiders
High risk high reward prospect. |
|
| 45. |
Jimmy Clausen - Panthers
Stock is way down after abysmal debut. Still young, but needs a change of scenery to get a chance. |
|
| 46. |
Ricki Stanzi (R)- Chiefs
Developmental prospect that could surprise if given the opportunity. |
|
| 47. |
Stephen McGee - Cowboys
This is Tony Romo's team, but McGee could end up his backup and possible heir apparent on a high powered offense. |
|
| 48. |
Mike Kafka - Eagles
A skilled backup that may make a push for a starting role somewhere in 2 or 3 seasons. |
|
| 49. |
Chase Daniel - Saints
Limited upside, but young, capable backup. |
|
| 50. |
Dennis Dixon - Steelers
Dixon has some long term potential. Accuracy and decision making is suspect, but speed and big arm make him a threat. |
