Dynasty Quarterback Rankings

Back to Rankings   -   Print

1.      Aaron Rodgers - Packers
Beast! Easily our top rated Dynasty QB. Survived a heavy pounding in 2009 and still managed to post a top rated stat line. His WR corps will only get better.

2.      Philip Rivers - Chargers
Age puts him ahead of Brees and Manning. He is really good.

3.      Drew Brees - Saints
5-7 seasons of beastliness left. HC Sean Peyton will keep the offensive productivity intact.

4.      Peyton Manning - Colts
3-5 seasons of high productivity.

5.      Matt Ryan - Falcons
Matty Ice has got the look of a long term franchise QB. He is a buy low option right now.

6.      Jay Cutler - Bears
His talent is undeniable. Look for him to steadily improve as Chi-town surrounds their best player with offensive weaponry.

7.      Tony Romo - Cowboys
It looks as though he has finally gotten it.

8.      Matt Schaub - Texans
A fantasy beast that is not an elite NFL QB. This will likely catch up to him over the long term.

9.      Joe Flacco - Ravens
He struggled in the second half and in the playoffs, but improved his passing numbers across the board in his 2nd season. He is on the cusp of becoming an elite option, he just needs a few more weapons.

10.      Tom Brady - Patriots
Do not be too concerned about his poor finish to 2009, but he definitely has taken a step back from Top-5 status.

11.      Ben Roethlisberger - Steelers
The first 4,000 yard passer in Steelers history. Expect a more balanced attack in 2010, but Big Ben is a solid QB1.

12.      Eli Manning - Giants
Eli had one of the best years of his career in 2009. His weapons are for real and he could crack the Top 10 with a repeat.

13.      Matthew Stafford - Lions
Stafford showed a lot of grit and flashes of potential in his rookie season.

14.      Chad Henne - Dolphins
We are very intrigued by Hennes upside. He certainly has the arm and intangibles to be a QB1.

15.      Josh Freeman - Bucs
Freeman made a ton of mistakes (18 INT in 10 games), but showed skills that could make him a fantasy stud in time. High risk, high reward player.

16.      Matt Cassel - Cheifs
Some of the pieces are in place for Cassel to be a solid QB2 next season.

17.      Carson Palmer - Bengals
Palmer was just not a reliable QB1 option last season. 2010 is a big year for his value, but he needs a downfield threat.

18.      Mark Sanchez - Jets
A typical rookie season. In the long run, Sanchez will benefit. His athletic ability and winning pedigree are pluses.

19.      Vince Young - Titans
VY came back strong, showing accuracy and poise. QB2 in 2010, with upside.

20.      Kyle Orton - Broncos
Orton was solid in his first season with the Broncos. He is more or less a game manager, but should be a reliable QB2 again in 2010.

21.      Kevin Kolb - Eagles
Proved he could do it in McNabbs absence in 2009.

22.      Donovan McNabb - Eagles
McNabb is solid, but at 34 years old, he is at the beginning of the end.

23.      Jason Campbell - Redskins
Keep an eye on where Campbell ends up in 2010, because he could be an under-rated value pick.

24.      Alex Smith - 49ers
He has weapons, but will the 49ers go to the spread full time? We need to see a full season from Smith.

25.      David Garrard - Jaguars
May have one or two years of solid starting left at the most.

26.      Michael Vick - Eagles
Could have a starting job next season. That would be interesting.

27.      Matt Leinart - Cardinals
Has looked awful in spot duty, but will have a legit shot at fantasy success now that Kurt Warner has retired. He has basically one full season to prove his worth.

28.      Brady Quinn - Browns
Probably not the future in Cleveland, but may get another shot.

29.      Matt Moore - Carolina
Should be your 2010 starter. Solid upside.

30.      Trent Edwards - Bills
Not the answer in Buffalo. He would be a nice back-up though.

31.      Brett Favre - Vikings
The old man just keeps playing at a high level. We expect him to play in 2010.

32.      Tarvaris Jackson - Vikings
He is learning from Favre and that may help him in the long run. If Favre ever retires that is.

33.      Josh Johnson - Bucs.
An extremely gifted athlete, but he is young and has a lot to learn.

34.      Matt Hasselback - Seahawks
35 years old and having trouble staying healthy. Pete Carroll will bring in a QB of the Future very soon.

35.      Seneca Wallace - Browns
Might be starting for the Browns in Week 1. Upside is limited, but could be effective in very deep 2QB leagues.

36.      Jamarcus Russell - Raiders
No work ethic or desire to improve.

37.      Nate Davis - 49ers
Davis has the measurables to succeed in the NFL, could get a shot in 2010.

38.      Marc Bulger - Rams
Banged up nearly every season, Bulger would be a solid backup on a contending team. Just not your fantasy team.

39.      Keith Null - Rams
Was okay when pressed into duty in 2009. Some upside.

40.      Dennis Dixon - Steelers
Showed some skills in his only career start. Potential and definitely a Big Ben handcuff in deep leagues.

41.      Troy Smith - Ravens
Probably no more than a quality back-up, but may get an opportunity outside of Baltimore.

42.      Derek Anderson - Browns
One. Year. Wonder.

43.      Brian Hoyer - Patriots
Has a long way to go before seeing any action. He has shown good poise with his opportunities however.

44.      Tom Brandstater - Broncos
If Kyle Orton is not the future in Denver, Brandstater could be getting groomed for the gig in 2011. Keep an eye on his development this summer.

45.      Pat White - Miami
Can he play QB at the NFL level? We may never find out.

46.      Matt Flynn - Packers
Backing up the most valuable Dynasty QB.

47.      Curtis Painter - Colts
Keep an eye on him because he is learning from Peyton Manning.

48.      Mike Teel - Seahawks
Solid measurables make his potential intriguing. Will need to impress Pete Carroll quickly.

49.      Brett Ratliff - Browns
Could win the job if the Browns don\'t draft a franchise QB in 2010.

50.      Steve McGee - Cowboys
You never know in Dallas what Jerry Jones may do. They like McGee and have very little patience for players that struggle. Not relevant yet.
