| 1. |
Maurice Jones-Drew - Jaguars
Do it all back with a nose for the end zone. Durable. |
|
| 2. |
Chris Johnson - Titans
Versatility, pure speed and constant big play threat is basically 1b. |
|
| 3. |
Adrian Peterson - Vikings
Beastly! Only downside is his bruising running style which could equal a shortened career. |
|
| 4. |
Ray Rice - Ravens
Rice is a prototypical RB in an RBBC. He is too small to carry the entire load, but he is a great pass catcher and runs hard, with constant big play potential. |
|
| 5. |
Jonathan Stewart - Panthers
So good. Just waiting for his opportunity to be the lead guy. |
|
| 6. |
Frank Gore - 49ers
Spread offense in SF may limit his carries some, but he won\'t lose the big plays as teams defend the pass. A few less carries help his durability. |
|
| 7. |
Steven Jackson - Rams
One of the biggest hearts in the NFL. After a heavy workload in 2009, we are weary of an injury plagued future. |
|
| 8. |
Rashard Mendenhall - Steelers
A featured back in Pitt. proves to be a nice fantasy prospect. Undervalued pass catcher. Fumbling may be a problem. |
|
| 9. |
Chris Wells - Cardinals
Very gifted runner that is shedding the injury prone label. Not a pass catcher. Needs 20 carries to get rolling. Look for a breakout in 2010. |
|
| 10. |
Matt Forte - Bears
Disappointing in 2009. Can Mike Martz help him get back into the Top 7? Maybe. |
|
| 11. |
DeAngelo Williams - Panthers
RB1 upside, but he is an RB2 for 2010 because of the presence of Jonathan Stewart. He will be a free agent after this season. |
|
| 12. |
Knowshon Moreno - Broncos
A bit underwhelming in his rookie campaign. A good inside runner that should be utilized that way. |
|
| 13. |
Jamaal Charles - Chiefs
The signing of Thomas Jones will hurt his 2010 value just enough for you to buy Charles at a reasonable rate in your Dynasty league(maybe). It also might end up keeping him on the field through the entire season. |
|
| 14. |
Lesean McCoy - Eagles
May find the starting role in Philly faster than expected. We like his upside, but not overly impressive...yet. |
|
| 15. |
Donald Brown - Colts
Top-10 upside. Versatile back especially in the passing game. A gem in Indy. |
|
| 16. |
Felix Jones - Cowboys
Injury prone. Big play, versatile RB that needs to stay healthy to display his true ceiling. |
|
| 17. |
Shonn Greene - Jets
Greene has shown some juice late 2009 and could be in line for major work in 2010. The fact that he is already 25 years old and has little to no value in the passing game limit his upside a bit. |
|
| 18. |
Pierre Thomas - Saints
Not an every down back. In a limited role his upside is as high as anyone. |
|
| 19. |
Michael Turner - Falcons
Heavy workload looked to catch up with him just as he started to bust out in 2009. He\'ll be back, but he\'s not a long term prospect. |
|
| 20. |
Cedric Benson - Bengals
Another season or two of solid productivity. Be weary of a fast breakdown. |
|
| 21. |
Marion Barber III - Cowboys
Slowing down some, but still a solid player with a nose for the end zone. |
|
| 22. |
Ryan Grant - Packers
An everydown back that does nothing exciting. He is consistent however. |
|
| 23. |
Ahmad Bradshaw - Giants
Solid Flex starter with some upside and an opportunity. |
|
| 24. |
Tim Hightower - Cardinals
Much improved in 2009. Upside is limited with the presence of a more talented Beanie Wells. |
|
| 25. |
Steve Slaton - Texans
Versatile player that put the ball on the ground too often in his sophomore campaign. A nice player but not a feature player. |
|
| 26. |
Justin Forsett - Seahawks
Versatile player with opportunity to start in Seattle. Watch their draft closely. |
|
| 27. |
Ronnie Brown - Miami
Brown is talented, but his long term value is questionable due to injuries. |
|
| 28. |
Marshawn Lynch - Bills
Really just an average back. An average back that gets into trouble off the field. Not a good combination. |
|
| 29. |
Darren McFadden - Raiders
Skates McFadden is proving to be a disappointment. Were giving him one more season based on talent alone. |
|
| 30. |
Kevin Smith - Lions
A good player, but definitely not great. 2009 ACL injury severely hurts his stock. |
|
| 31. |
Joe Addai - Colts
Clearly not a feature back, but has kept himself on the field with his above average pass catching ability. His days are numbered in Indy as the lead guy, but still has value. |
|
| 32. |
Tashard Choice - Cowboys
Very productive with limited touches. Waiting for an opportunity to be a feature back within the Cowboys backfield committee. |
|
| 33. |
Reggie Bush - Saints
A frustrating fantasy running back to own. Talented gadget player that will make him inconsistent. No more than a flex RB. |
|
| 34. |
Bernard Scott - Bengals
Likely a perennial flex type player. |
|
| 35. |
Brandon Jacobs - Giants
The drop off is fast for players that run as hard as Jacobs. |
|
| 36. |
Leon Washington - Jets
Neon Leon is exciting. We will have to see how he recovers from a very bad broken leg suffered in 2009. |
|
| 37. |
Darren Sproles - Chargers
His franchise tag and 2008 playoff performance will have him hugely overrated heading into '09. Not as good as Leon Washington. |
|
| 38. |
Jerome Harrison - Browns
A wait an see situation for Harrison. Worth the gamble if you can get him cheap. Late season 2009 numbers were ridiculous. |
|
| 39. |
Fred Jackson - Bills
A better RB than Lynch, however he is almost 30. |
|
| 40. |
Michael Bush - Raiders
Did not take advantage of a bad RB situation in Oakland, but still averaged 4.8 yards per carry. Needs a philosophy change in Oakland or a change of scenery. |
|
| 41. |
James Davis - Browns
Will have to work his way back into the Cleveland lineup. |
|
| 42. |
Tyrell Sutton - Panthers
3rd on the depth chart in Carolina, but could be a valuable asset should Deangelo Williams leave town. Stash him now. |
|
| 43. |
Rashad Jennings - Jaguars
Valuable handcuff who could surprise if he is given more work to keep MJD fresh. |
|
| 44. |
Jason Snelling - Falcons
If Jerious Norwood departs, Snelling is left as the main back-up to Michael Turner. There is opportunity for some value here. |
|
| 45. |
Arian Foster - Texans
Do not be so sure that the Texans draft a big back to compliment Steve Slaton. They might already have him in Foster. |
|
| 46. |
Lendale White - Titans
A FA in 2010, his opportunity to find 1st and 2nd down work is now. Do not count on it however. |
|
| 47. |
Ricky Williams - Dolphins
Needs a compliment back to remain highly productive. Still has one more season of solid play. |
|
| 48. |
Laurence Maroney - Patriots
Not that good. Too many opportunities at this point. Teases then displeases. |
|
| 49. |
Jerious Norwood - Falcons
Norwood is the Ferrari of running backs. Super fast, super smooth, exciting from every angle, but really is not a reliable option in a game like football. He is a Free Agent after this season. |
|
| 50. |
Thomas Jones - Chiefs
It is hard to imagine he would play for more than another season. |
|
