| 1. |
Rob Gronkowski - Patriots
Has had an incredible start to his career. Definition of a Beast. Redzone monster. |
|
| 2. |
Jimmy Graham - Saints
A large, uber-athletic receiver that happens to play tight end, Graham is a matchup nightmare. Ceiling is sky high. |
|
| 3. |
Jermichael Finley - Packers
Right there with Gronk and Jimmy for the most talented TE in the league. Injury concerns and production are only questions. |
|
| 4. |
Aaron Hernandez - Patriots
A nice young player that needs to be treated more of like a WR than a TE with the Pats using 2-TE sets often. He's a matchup problem and in a great situation where Brady will look his way often. May lose TD's to his TE counterpart Gronknowski, but the yardage will go to Hernendez. |
|
| 5. |
Vernon Davis - 49ers
He looks like a young Shannon Sharpe. Limited by his QB, but he turned it on down the stretch and was unstoppable during the playoffs. |
|
| 6. |
Jermaine Gresham - Bengals
Early projections give him a higher upside than Jermichael Finley. Stash, wait and see. |
|
| 7. |
Antonio Gates - Chargers
Slowed by injuries, Gates still has elite talent. |
|
| 8. |
Jason Witten - Cowboys
A solid player in a pass happy situation in Dallas. Needs to get into the end zone more often which is going to be tough with numerous weapons around him. |
|
| 9. |
Brandon Pettigrew - Lions
Becoming a consistent and productive receiving option in Detroit. His value is still climbing. |
|
| 10. |
Fred Davis - Redskins
Really impressing while stepping in for Cooley. Grab him while he is semi-cheap. |
|
| 11. |
Dustin Keller - Jets
Big time player waiting for the Jets to release the reigns from Sanchize. |
|
| 12. |
Jared Cook - Titans
Huge upside should see more action in 2010. |
|
| 13. |
Ed Dickson (R) - Ravens
Could grow into an important target for Joe Flacco. Very athletic. |
|
| 14. |
Zach Miller - Seahawks
A surprise move signing with Seattle. Still a very solid long term TE1, but 2011 might be inconsistent considering the Seahawks QB play. |
|
| 15. |
Brent Celek - Eagles
Rebounded a bit in 2011 and has a chance to build on that next year. |
|
| 16. |
Kyle Rudolph - Vikings (R)
A much needed element to the Vikings passing game. Solid numbers to follow. |
|
| 17. |
Owen Daniels - Texans
Coming off of an ACL tear, but extremely gifted and was in the middle of a big breakout. |
|
| 18. |
Lance Kendricks - Rams (R)
In a great situation on a team that desperately needs another receiving option for Sam Bradford. Worth the reach. |
|
| 19. |
Greg Olsen - Panthers
Out of Chicago, Olsen is primed to fulfill his potential as a Top 10 TE. Should develop a strong rapport with Cam Newton. |
|
| 20. |
Marcedes Lewis - Jaguars
One of the most athletic players on the Jags squad and he stands at 6-6 and 275 lbs. A movable chess piece on a roster with limited receiving weapons. |
|
| 21. |
Kellen Winslow - Bucs
Inconsistent with an injury history have us leery of his long term value, but he is productive. Gets a bump in PPR leagues. |
|
| 22. |
Tony Moeaki - Chiefs
Loaded with upside, Moeaki is on IR for 2011. |
|
| 23. |
Heath Miller - Steelers
He is what he is. Consistent with limited upside. |
|
| 24. |
Chris Cooley - Redskins
Cooley seems to have plateaued after marrying his hottie wife. Still a big part of a Redskins offense with little receiving talent around him. |
|
| 25. |
Luke Stocker (R) - Bucs
Complete tight end prospect lands in a situation that could be very beneficial in a few seasons. Will be K2's understudy for now. K2 tends to get frequently injured. |
|
| 26. |
Jordan Cameron (R) - Browns
He has ideal build and athleticism. Very raw, but could pay dividends. |
|
| 27. |
Jacob Tamme - Colts
Worth a stash as Dallas Clark is not getting any younger. |
|
| 28. |
Evan Moore - Browns
A 6'6" player that can run. Big time upside currently limited by the presence of Ben Watson. |
|
| 29. |
Dallas Clark - Colts
As Manning goes, so does Clark. Maybe you can squeeze one more year out of him in 2012. Maybe... |
|
| 30. |
Jake Ballard - Giants
Solid but unspectacular pass catcher, Ballard played well enough to earn TE2 status. |
|
| 31. |
Dennis Pitta - Ravens
Limited upside due to age and the presence of a more physically gifted option in Ed Dickson. |
|
| 32. |
Julius Thomas - Broncos
Former basketball player turned tight end. Sound familiar? He's raw, but will major upside due to physical gifts. |
|
| 33. |
Tony Gonzalez - Falcons
Ageless wonder. |
|
| 34. |
Kevin Boss - Raiders
Limited upside option that has TE2 potential if healthy. |
|
| 35. |
Anthony Fasano - Dolphins
Slightly above average bye week option. |
|
| 36. |
John Carlson - Seahawks
Missed all of 2011 with an injury, needs a change of scenery with Zach Miller in town. |
|
| 37. |
Scott Chandler - Bills
A large red zone target and that is about it. |
|
| 38. |
James Casey - Texans
Has potential, but clock is ticking as 2012 will be his age 28 season. |
|
| 39. |
Tony Scheffler - Lions
Stealing TD's from Brandon Pettigrew. |
|
| 40. |
Martellus Bennett - Cowboys
Could find himself with more playing time in 2012 on a new team. Decent upside at 25 years old. |
