2011 NFL TE Rookie Profiles
The Tight End position is becoming popular again in the NFL...and on Fantasy rosters. Teams are spreading the ball out more and we are seeing an emergence of TE's producing WR1-2 type numbers. Beasts in the 6'5" - 260 lb range are abundant these days and their speed and overall athleticism make them matchup nightmares. We are even seeing teams like the New England Patriots lining up in 2 TE sets, one as the traditional end (Rob Gronkowski) and the other who serves as more of an H-Back type (Aaron Hernandez). This years class is considerably weak compared to the last few, but there is talent in this group and the trick in 2011 will be to decide when or if to make a move on one of these players in your Dynasty Rookie Draft.

Long Term Dynasty Player Prospects: NFL Draft 2010
When looking at the last few spots of any Dynasty league roster, you want to stock it with high upside talent that could eventually turn into a valuable trade chip or potential starter for your team. 2010 NFL Rookie Tight End Profiles
The NFL Tight End is evolving. As teams spread the ball out, a TE who can serve as a legitimate receiving option is very important. Most of the highest rated prospects will fall in the 6'5 - 250 lb range with superior athleticism. Traditional blocking ability is less of a barometer for a players future success (especially in the fantasy world), however it can be a decent indicator of how quickly they can make the transition and thus see game action. Like the WR position, there is usually a year or two before TE's can be productive. The 2010 Draft class has three prospects capable of developing into Top 5 options and a handful more that could be starters in deep fantasy leagues. When all is said and done, this could be a very productive fantasy TE class.
