Week 14 Preview: Playoff Time
It only took 13 weeks but it seems Chris Johnson is back...congratulations to owners who stuck with him through the agonizing 3 months. On the other hand sorry for Matt Forte owners and Bears fans everywhere after losing their starting QB and BEAST RB, it now looks like the Bears will be fighting really hard just to make the playoffs. The Packers are still undefeated and Aaron Rodgers shows no sign of letting up. There is a lot more drama going on this week in the NFL so lets go and take a deeper look into each matchup.

Week 13 Preview: The Stretch Run
Gearing up for the playoffs means Week 13 is a big week for most fantasy owners out there. With a number of injuries still plaguing some of the league's best players there are a lot of hidden gems to look out for this week. Victor Cruz is now a BEAST and a top 5 WR at this point of the season. Jay Cutler is not returning this season but Johnny Knox value has come on strong, being targeted 10 times by backup QB Caleb Hanie and has 7 catches and over 200 yards the last two weeks with a pair of TD's. Let's take a deeper look into our preview for each team this week.

Week 10 Matchup Preview
After 9 weeks the Packers are still undefeated with no signs of slowing down, the Colts are winless and are currently in the lead for Andrew Luck. Roy Helu shined in his first start by catching a Redskin record 14 passes last week for over 100 yards, strengthening his Dynasty value in the process. There are no teams on bye this week so we are back into full action with a number of big matchups including Patriots-Jets, Giants-49ers, Saints-Falcons and more. Let's get into the rest of the matchups as Fantasy playoffs are right around the corner.

Freshman 15: Midterms
Don't believe the hype. That was the word on the street this spring and summer regarding Cam Newton. He is quickly making believers out of every critic with his play thus far this season. In what was widely considered a weak NFL draft, we are still seeing numerous rookies having instant fantasy impacts, from Newton to AJ Green to Demarco Murray. As we head to the midway point in the semester, we take a look at how some top offensive rookies are progressing.

Week 6: Thoughts and Preview
It is already Week 6 in the NFL season and the "Dream Team" is 1-4 and the Colts are still winless. Now both teams have bright spots, with the Colts it seems Curtis Painter has found a favorite target in Pierre Garcon. With a lot of teams on bye this week, lets go through some thoughts of each team who will be playing this week. Week 6 Bye week teams: Arizona, Denver, Kansas City, San Diego, Seattle, Tennessee.

Week 4: Thoughts and Preview

Three weeks in and only the Bills and Lions can keep up with the defending champions Packers with a 3-0 record. The only team or player that has made a bigger surprise splash than those two teams is Cam Newton who came back to earth this past week with a mediocre passing game but did manage to record his first win. Kenny Britt's season is now over with a torn ACL and MCL, and crushes Dynasty owners bad since Britt was easily playing like a Top 5 WR. Week 4 is rapidly approaching, let's run through some thoughts for each team.

Early Season Reactions: Week 2
Is it hard to believe that Cam Newton would pass for 400 yards in a game during his rookie season? Maybe not, but if we told you that he'd do it in back to back weeks to start the season, you would have laughed. And here we are...heading towards Week 3 and Cam has 854 yards passing. Oh, and not to mention, 71 yards and 2 TD's on the ground. But he wasn't the only big news of Week 2, we had a massive injury with Jamaal Charles' ACL tear. Let's take a look at some Week 2 observations.

Week 3: Thoughts and Preview
It is quite clear Peyton Manning is not coming back this season, and more injuries seem to be mounting up. Jamaal Charles just broke the hearts of many owners in any Redraft or Dynasty league, and with injuries to Michael Vick, Miles Austin, and Aaron Hernandez there is a lot to ponder about this upcoming week.  In particular, which players will step up in place of the injured.  A couple other parting shots from Week 2 and some thoughts heading into Week 3:

Early Season Reactions: Week 1
Week 1 has come and gone, leaving a tremendous amount of fantasy overreaction in it's dust. Is Cam Newton now a Top 5 QB? It's not likely, but that doesn't make him an immediate sell, especially if you play in a Dynasty league. Values are constantly fluctuating and it's important to be on top of the everchanging landscape, but it's equally important to keep the entire season (and future seasons) in perspective. Let's take a look at some quick hits from the week that was.

Like most every fantasy season, 2010 gave us a number of breakout performances and seemingly out of nowhere players that became Beasts. 12-Team Expert Mock Draft
BeastOrBust was asked to participate in a 12-Team Experts Mock Draft hosted by Steven Lourie of the Football Fan Spot.  This is a 12-Team, 16 Round Mock Draft under the following assumptions:  Standard Scoring, Non-PPR and 6 Points for a TD.  A nice feature of this mock was for each participant to provide a comment on their draft strategy with each pick.  Please keep in mind loyal Dynasty Readers that this mock is Redraft based, and although varies from our typical Dynasty content, is an excellent tool for gauging the perceived current player value for 2010 pre-season trade negotiations etc.  Feel Free to drop us a note to let us know how we did.  Enjoy.

2010 NFL Scouting Combine - Wide Outs and Tight Ends

As the NFL turns more and more into a pass heavy league, the impact of young wide receivers and tight ends is being felt earlier than usual. The 3rd year WR theory is a common belief that a receiver has a great chance of breaking out in his third season. While that does still happen and there are many receivers that need time to develop, many are contributing in key spots as rookies. The 2010 WR Draft Class gets high marks for its potential depth, although there are only a handful of elite talents. What we are likely to see out of this draft from the wide receiver position is more solid WR2 and WR3 types. The 2010 TE Draft Class is dominated by very athletic pass catchers with ideal builds. While not particularly deep, the Top 5 all have TE1 fantasy potential. Let’s take a look at some prospect performances from the Combine this past week.
