Dynasty Rankings Update: RB
The top of the running back mountain is in flux. Two seasons ago it was Chris Johnson, Adrian Peterson, Maurice Jones-Drew and then everyone else. In 2010, Arian Foster crashed the party and has continued to march up the list this season, stopping at the top. He has some serious competition from LeSean McCoy and Ray Rice, as well as a potential bounceback in CJ and a potential breakout in Ryan Mathews. Let's take a look at the movement in our rankings as we get ready for the offseason.

Week 15 Review: 200 Club
After a pedestrian few weeks, Calvin Johnson came to play Week 15. After a pedestrian NFL career, Reggie Bush has come to play this season. Both players finished with over 200 yards receiving and rushing respectively on Sunday, lifting many an owner into the championship round of their fantasy leagues. There are more games to be played as the season winds down, but let's delve into more Week 15 action that caught our eye.

Week 14 Preview: Playoff Time
It only took 13 weeks but it seems Chris Johnson is back...congratulations to owners who stuck with him through the agonizing 3 months. On the other hand sorry for Matt Forte owners and Bears fans everywhere after losing their starting QB and BEAST RB, it now looks like the Bears will be fighting really hard just to make the playoffs. The Packers are still undefeated and Aaron Rodgers shows no sign of letting up. There is a lot more drama going on this week in the NFL so lets go and take a deeper look into each matchup.

Week 13 Preview: The Stretch Run
Gearing up for the playoffs means Week 13 is a big week for most fantasy owners out there. With a number of injuries still plaguing some of the league's best players there are a lot of hidden gems to look out for this week. Victor Cruz is now a BEAST and a top 5 WR at this point of the season. Jay Cutler is not returning this season but Johnny Knox value has come on strong, being targeted 10 times by backup QB Caleb Hanie and has 7 catches and over 200 yards the last two weeks with a pair of TD's. Let's take a deeper look into our preview for each team this week.

Week 12 Preview: Turkey Time

The fantasy football feast started Thursday with the Packers Lions tilt, followed by the Dolphins and Cowboys, and then Ravens and 49ers for the nightcap. Everyone is looking to make that push into the playoffs and with tons on injuries plaguing the league right now there are a slew of waiver wire players you should be looking at. No Teams on bye weeks anymore so lets get into this weeks matchups to help you avoid that Thanksgiving hangover.

Week 10 Matchup Preview
After 9 weeks the Packers are still undefeated with no signs of slowing down, the Colts are winless and are currently in the lead for Andrew Luck. Roy Helu shined in his first start by catching a Redskin record 14 passes last week for over 100 yards, strengthening his Dynasty value in the process. There are no teams on bye this week so we are back into full action with a number of big matchups including Patriots-Jets, Giants-49ers, Saints-Falcons and more. Let's get into the rest of the matchups as Fantasy playoffs are right around the corner.

Week 8 Reactions: Dream Teaming
Week 8 did not give us too many Beastly performances, but player values continue to fluctuate and new prospects emerge. We are almost half way through the season and that means it's time to get ready for your fantasy playoff push. Take a look at your roster and identify any areas where you can improve, even if it's just a slight upgrade. On the flipside, if you are rebuilding, it's time to start selling off any aging pieces that could help a playoff team make a push. It's important to think long term in any Dynasty transaction.

Week 8: Thoughts and Preview

Injuries are starting to pile up, and already with a thin RB core this year in the NFL, there are a lot of waiver wire hidden gems to be found like RB's Jackie Battle, Michael Bush, Kregg Lumpkin, and Alfonso Smith who might have to step up to fill their teams #1 RB role. Tim Tebow started his season out with a bang leading a comeback in win, and looking like he will secure his role as the starting QB. His ability to score on the run and through the air makes him a possible QB1/2 further into the season and shows nice Dynasty value as well. QB Christian Ponder almost defeated the world champion Packers in his first career start, and RB DeMarco Murray ran wild for 253 yards. There are a lot more to look at in the matchups for Week 8 and with a big group of starts on their bye week let's see who has a chance to boost their Dynasty value.

Week 5: Thoughts and Preview

So Calvin "Megatron" Johnson is on pace for 32 TD's and Tom Brady is on pace for over 6,00 passing yards through 4 weeks...and it took until Week 4 for us to welcome back Arian Foster, Frank Gore, and Chris Johnson. The preseason RB1's stepped it up this past week statistically and each played a big part in their teams victories as well. Andre Johnson scared every fantasy owner across the country when he went down without contact, luckily he will only miss a few weeks. That injury opens the door for Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walter to step up and boost their Dynasty value in the coming weeks, although their long term value remains unappealing. Bye weeks are coming in to play so players like Eric Decker, Victor Cruz, Stevan Ridley, and more all present good value this upcoming week as waiver wire pickups.  Lets check out some other thoughts for each team for this week's rundown.

Week 4: Thoughts and Preview

Three weeks in and only the Bills and Lions can keep up with the defending champions Packers with a 3-0 record. The only team or player that has made a bigger surprise splash than those two teams is Cam Newton who came back to earth this past week with a mediocre passing game but did manage to record his first win. Kenny Britt's season is now over with a torn ACL and MCL, and crushes Dynasty owners bad since Britt was easily playing like a Top 5 WR. Week 4 is rapidly approaching, let's run through some thoughts for each team.

DeSean Jackson vs. Mike Wallace
They are two of the most exciting wide receivers in football, capable of taking any pass to the endzone and regurarly wowing the NFL with highlight plays. The Eagles DeSean Jackson has been in the league three seasons and from the moment he stepped on the field, he's been making a name for himself as the league's premier playmaker. He's got some serious competition, though, from the Steelers Mike Wallace, who has battled him play for play the past two seasons. In a Dynasty league, which electric WR would you like to roster, DeSean or Mike Wallace?

Top Playmakers in the NFL
A Playmaker can be defined in many ways.  For the purpose of this article, we chose to look at some players that do the most with limited touches.  In Fantasy Football, you are looking for players with an abundance of touches, targets and passes.  Sometimes however there is an exception to the rule.  Playmakers as we have defined them can be frustrating to own as they occasionally produce a dud.  The opportunity for a Beastly stat line that puts your team over the top on any given weekend, makes the Fantasy Playmaker a weekly must start.

Darren McFadden vs. LeSean McCoy
Coming into the league, Darren McFadden and LeSean McCoy were both seen as explosive running backs that could deal with injuries at the next level. McFadden was drafted 4th overall in 2008 and was the more heralded prospect, but he has only started to emerge this season because of injuries. Right now, he is leading all RB's in yards per game and if it was not for missing two games due to injury, Run DMC might be the Number One scoring back in fantasy leagues. McCoy was drafted in the 2nd round and hit the ground running and receiving as a pro. He followed quickly in the footsteps of Brian Westbrook and has developed into an RB1 in just his second season. In a Dynasty league, who do you want on your roster...Shady or Run DMC?

Week 4.  We are at the one-quarter mark on the fantasy season, and some serious developments have already occured.  Numerous teams have horrible QB situations, while the elite at the position have been for the most part inconsistent.   Random RB's are finding starting roles on a weekly basis, we've got senior citizen WR's posting big fantasy numbers.  The emergence of numerous TE's that are trending toward WR1 seasons is also exciting.  At this point we know a lot about where reality teams are headed and whether our Fantasy Teams are contenders or pretenders. For the first time in 2010, we can make educated decisions rather than those made from speculation.

Nature of the Beast: Week 11 Review
Week 11 was a big week for receivers, with 14 different players posting 100+ yard games. This number could increase when the Titans and Texans matchup up tonight on MNF.  We learned that Brett Favre will continue to teach us that he is superhuman.  Who would have thought this weeks two highest QB totals would come from a matchup between the Lions and the Browns?  Bruce Gradkowski had a better game in Week 11 than any other previous 2009 start of Jamarcus Russell. Oh yeah, Ricky Williams was the top RB performer.  As always, Fantasy Football surprises us every week.
