Show and Prove: Franchise QB
The quarterback position has always been the leader of an NFL team, a franchise cornerstone. With the changing landscape, the same can be said for the QB of a Dynasty Fantasy Football team. Being able to manage a game and not turn the ball over will only get you so far (and not many fantasy points). Teams need elite signal callers to maximize their full potential. It took Eli Manning 8 seasons to prove he was elite. Cam Newton walked in and did it in his first season. We look at the next crop of QB's and whether they can take the next step.

We had an overall rankings list as well, but felt there was too many variables league to league and discontinued it last year. We are unveiling our Top 25 Dynasty players under 25 years old as a list that focuses on the game's youth and their long term potential.

Dynasty Rankings Update: QB
The Quarterback has always been a cornerstone of every successful NFL franchise. With the league throwing more than ever before, that only adds to the emphasis of the position. From Matthew Stafford's breakout to Cam Newton exploding onto the scene as a rookie, there was plenty of movement during 2011. Let's take a look.

Week 13 Preview: The Stretch Run
Gearing up for the playoffs means Week 13 is a big week for most fantasy owners out there. With a number of injuries still plaguing some of the league's best players there are a lot of hidden gems to look out for this week. Victor Cruz is now a BEAST and a top 5 WR at this point of the season. Jay Cutler is not returning this season but Johnny Knox value has come on strong, being targeted 10 times by backup QB Caleb Hanie and has 7 catches and over 200 yards the last two weeks with a pair of TD's. Let's take a deeper look into our preview for each team this week.

Week 11 Reactions: Back in the Game
The fantasy landscape continues to change. Week 11 brought another wave of injuries and emerging talents. Kevin Smith came back from obscurity and injuries to Jay Cutler, Adrian Peterson and Fred Jackson will force some Dynasty prospects into action in the coming weeks. Fantasy Playoffs are around the corner and with the bye weeks over it's time to tighten up the bench. Handcuff your Beasts, cut the replacement level fodder and add a few young prospects that could get a chance later this season.

Week 10 Matchup Preview
After 9 weeks the Packers are still undefeated with no signs of slowing down, the Colts are winless and are currently in the lead for Andrew Luck. Roy Helu shined in his first start by catching a Redskin record 14 passes last week for over 100 yards, strengthening his Dynasty value in the process. There are no teams on bye this week so we are back into full action with a number of big matchups including Patriots-Jets, Giants-49ers, Saints-Falcons and more. Let's get into the rest of the matchups as Fantasy playoffs are right around the corner.

Week 7 Reactions: Nagging Injuries
Week 7 brought the pain with numerous injuries, with varying degrees of severity. Most seemed to be at the running back position, so it's definitely important to keep an eye on the waiver wire for a potential bye week fill-in. It's also almost midseason and trade deadlines are approaching in the next month, so it's time to start looking at Dynasty buy lows whether you are competing or not. Oh, and did you hear that fantasy savior Tim Tebow led an impressive comeback in the final minutes of the 2nd half on Sunday? All that and more in this week's Reactions.

Week 6: Thoughts and Preview
It is already Week 6 in the NFL season and the "Dream Team" is 1-4 and the Colts are still winless. Now both teams have bright spots, with the Colts it seems Curtis Painter has found a favorite target in Pierre Garcon. With a lot of teams on bye this week, lets go through some thoughts of each team who will be playing this week. Week 6 Bye week teams: Arizona, Denver, Kansas City, San Diego, Seattle, Tennessee.

Week 4: Thoughts and Preview

Three weeks in and only the Bills and Lions can keep up with the defending champions Packers with a 3-0 record. The only team or player that has made a bigger surprise splash than those two teams is Cam Newton who came back to earth this past week with a mediocre passing game but did manage to record his first win. Kenny Britt's season is now over with a torn ACL and MCL, and crushes Dynasty owners bad since Britt was easily playing like a Top 5 WR. Week 4 is rapidly approaching, let's run through some thoughts for each team.

Week 3: Thoughts and Preview
It is quite clear Peyton Manning is not coming back this season, and more injuries seem to be mounting up. Dynasty Injury Risks
Every year, fantasy football championship dreams are derailed by injuries. This year we might even see an increase in injuries, as there have been no team organized workouts and players could take longer to get in game shape once the lockout is lifted. While every player is essentially at risk for serious injury just by stepping on an NFL field, we are going to take a look at a few players that have extra red flags. Yes Michael Vick is a high level risk, but he also has upside that is unmatched at the QB position. What you should do if you own one of these players or are looking to acquire their services?

Long Term Dynasty Player Prospects: NFL Draft 2010
When looking at the last few spots of any Dynasty league roster, you want to stock it with high upside talent that could eventually turn into a valuable trade chip or potential starter for your team. A combination of potential talent and potential opportunity make for an excellent Dynasty prospect. Rather than sitting on an aging role player that likely won't help your team at all, you can sit on a few prospects that have enough long term potential to warrant your patience. You will need to invest time in all of these players, but if just one develops, it will be worth the wait and the roster spot.

2010 NFL Rookie Tight End Profiles
The NFL Tight End is evolving.  As teams spread the ball out, a TE who can serve as a legitimate receiving option is very important.  Most of the highest rated prospects will fall in the 6'5 - 250 lb range with superior athleticism.  Traditional blocking ability is less of a barometer for a players future success (especially in the fantasy world), however it can be a decent indicator of how quickly they can make the transition and thus see game action.  Like the WR position, there is usually a year or two before TE's can be productive. The 2010 Draft class  has three prospects capable of developing into Top 5 options and a handful more that could be starters in deep fantasy leagues. When all is said and done, this could be a very productive fantasy TE class.

2010 Rookie Quarterback Player Profiles
There are upwards of 10 NFL teams seeking out their future franchise QB. Many Dynasty league owners are doing the same. If you own an older Beast like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, you can afford to draft a youngster and sit him for a few seasons as he learns the ropes. The instant returns of Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Matt Stafford and to some extent Mark Sanchez has owners anxious for a young Dynasty cornerstone to call their own. This draft class, though quickly dismissed as pedestrian, is not without its long term potential. The patience of Dynasty owners is going to be tested because most of these QB's are not ready for NFL game action in 2010.

2010 NFL Rookie Running Back Profiles
The running back is a former cornerstone to any championship Dynasty football team. Gone are the days of every NFL team feeding one RB the ball 25 times a game every game. RB's are now asked to be productive while only touching the ball 10-15 times a game. The 2010 Draft Class is not filled with many RB's that will blow you away with their franchise player ability. Instead, though, you'll find numerous prospects that could very well be fantasy factors as part of commitees and time shares. 2010 NFL Scouting Combine - Quarterbacks

There may not be a more coveted position both in fantasy football and the NFL than the “quarterback of the future”. Given the questionable situations that a number of teams have at the position, the search for the one is an ongoing process. That process starts with the NFL Draft, but unfortunately this year’s QB Draft Class is likely to disappoint. Sam Bradford and Jimmy Claussen, the two top prospects, are clear cut at this point and both have QB1 potential in the long term. After that, though, things get cloudy. A number of big name prospects (Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy) and late round prospects (Levi Brown, Jarrett Brown) offer starter potential, but also come with question marks and limitations. A team that has the patience to allow a QB prospect to develop, though, may get rewarded with a bright future.
