Week 5: Thoughts and Preview
So Calvin "Megatron" Johnson is on pace for 32 TD's and Tom Brady is on pace for over 6,00 passing yards through 4 weeks...and it took until Week 4 for us to welcome back Arian Foster, Frank Gore, and Chris Johnson. The preseason RB1's stepped it up this past week statistically and each played a big part in their teams victories as well. Andre Johnson scared every fantasy owner across the country when he went down without contact, luckily he will only miss a few weeks. That injury opens the door for Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walter to step up and boost their Dynasty value in the coming weeks, although their long term value remains unappealing. Bye weeks are coming in to play so players like Eric Decker, Victor Cruz, Stevan Ridley, and more all present good value this upcoming week as waiver wire pickups.  Lets check out some other thoughts for each team for this week's rundown.

Raiders:  Darrius Heyward-Bey rushed on the scene last week with 4 catches for 115 yards, but only Darren McFadden is a viable start this week given the inconsistency of the Raiders WR's thus far. Dump Heyward-Bey if you can find an interested party, as he'll likely be back to his inconsistent self in the coming weeks. Denarius Moore still has nice Dynasty Value but with Jacoby Ford back in the mix it is hard to say who will step up this week against the Texans.

Texans: A weak Raiders run defense gives Arian Foster another shot to Beast his way to the top again. The Raiders have the leagues worst rushing yard against avg at 5.9 YPC. With No Andre, look for Jacoby Jones or Kevin Walter to see more targets against an average Raiders pass defense.

Eagles: The NFL's Dream Team have looked like anything but one through 4 weeks. Only LeSean McCoy has been consistent each week. The Bills have not been that great on defense and has the league's worst pass rush with only 4 sacks. This is good news for the banged up Mike Vick who might have time this week to find DJAX and Maclin again this week.

Bills: Fred Jackson has a tasty matchup this week with the weak Eagles run defense, so that means watch for CJ Spiller as well who could see some action. Stevie Johnson is a solid start too, but lets see how the Bills answer to their first loss. Getting Scott Chandler involved will help the Bills spread the field more giving them that TE slot, he can gain some Dynasty value if he gets his targets this week.

Cardinals: Beanie Wells is coming off a 3 TD game last week and has looked Beastly when healthy this season. Even though the Vikings have a solid run D, Beanie has averaged 5.4 YPC and is a nice start this week. QB Kevin Kolb could face a tough test this week with a heavy pass rush, which he has struggled against. Larry Fitzgerald is a Beast so he always has a chance for a big game.

Vikings: Besides AP, it is tough to rely on McNabb even with a nice matchup with Arizona's not so good secondary. Michael Jenkins and TE Visanthe Shiancoe have became favorite targets of McNabb recently, so they could have nice sleeper games this week giving them some value through the bye weeks.

Seahawks: Tavaris Jackson has looked decent in the past few weeks, but faces a Giants D that has Osi Umenyiora back in Beast Mode. Sidney Rice is the only solid start this week. He can play like a WR1 as we saw last year so if he can find the end zone again his value will continue to rise.

Giants: Another nice week for the Giants RB duo could be coming up with Bradshaw getting a little more value than Jacobs because of his role in the passing game this year. It seems Victor Cruz is becoming a Manning favorite too along with Hakeem Nicks. All have nice value for this week again given the matchup with the mediocre Seahawks defense.

Chiefs: Facing the Colts this week gives Chiefs RB Thomas Jones and Dexter McCluster some value, but not as much as Dwayne Bowe has. He is getting back to his last season's form.

Colts: Curtis Painter has some deep league value now and he showed a solid rapport with Pierre Garcon on Monday night. He could be in for another big game, but since both these teams have struggled a lot, do not trust them as this game could get ugly.

Titans: Chris Johnson has another chance at over 100+ yards this week against a surprisingly not too good Steelers defense who let up 4.9 YPC. No James Harrison either. With that said watch for TE Jared Cook who has been getting some looks lately but the passing game could be tough for the Titan receivers this week.

Steelers:  Mike Wallace is the only Steeler producing consistently this year. With Big Ben and Rashard Mendenhall hurt this week look for Issac Redman to get some touches, but the matchup is not good. The Titans have been really good against the run so only Mike Wallace seems like a viable option this week.

Bengals: Jermaine Gresham has a nice matchup here. The Jaguars have not defended the TE position well this year, and Gresham is becoming a huge target for Dalton. So is AJ Green, but he has a tougher matchup because the Jags have been shutting down wideouts this year.

Jaguars: Clearly MJD is a play this week, but WR Mike Thomas could see some more targets even with a tougher pass defense in the Bengals. Thomas shows nice Dynasty value, and will gain even more as he continues to establish a connection with rookie Blaine Gabbert.

Saints: The Saints are so explosive it is hard to say who will breakout, but we know Jimmy Graham is becoming a TE1 of late. We also know that Darren Sproles is averaging 8.9 YPC on 15 carries and 8.6 YPR on 26 catches, fast becoming a nice RB2/Flex start. Now Marques Colston is returning to full strength but the only Saint WR who has shown success vs. the Panthers the last two years is Lance Moore. In 7 games vs the Panthers, Moore has 273 yards and 4 TD's so look for him as a nice sleeper this week.

Panthers: Cam Newton has a nice matchup this week, and he is a solid start along with WR Steve Smith ,who seems rejuvenated with his new QB. The Saints are better against the run than the pass, so look for a lot balls through the air from Newton in this game, especially if they are down early.

Buccaneers: LeGarrette Blount is facing a much stiffer defense this week in the 49ers. They only allow 2.9 YPC, but Blount is still a solid option. Preston Parker sparks Dynasty interest after a nice game on Monday Night. Freeman will look to exploit the weak secondary and Parker could be in store for another solid outing.

49ers: Can Frank Gore sustain his good play this week? It will be tougher since Tampa has a better run d than Philly this year but Gore can always break loose as we saw last week. As always Vernon Davis is a great play no matter what the matchup.

Chargers: Besides Philip Rivers and Vincent Jackson, Malcolm Floyd can see a nice game if he plays. Champ Bailey is expected back which means he will be on Jackson all game. Antonio Gates might not play either and the Broncos have not allowed a rushing TD all season so Ryan Mathews and Mike Tolbert will have their work cut out for them.

Broncos: Eric Decker is becoming a nice WR2 lately. He has 4 TD's this season and that's four more than Brandon Lloyd. The Chargers are good against the pass, but Lloyd scored a TD in both meetings last year so watch out for the wideouts. Willis McGahee who has been given a nice chunk of carries so far, is playing like a RB3/Flex.

Jets: LT could see a big game this week. The Patriots give up the most receiving yards to running backs with 374 yards already this year. These days, LT is more of a factor in the passing game than between the tackles. Holmes and Burress have nice matchups too, but if Mark Sanchez has center issues again it could be a long game.

Patriots:  By now you know you can start almost any Patriot offensive starter, but now you have RB Stevan Ridley in the mix. The rookie made the most of his 9 carries last week totaling 97 yards and a TD. With Danny Woodhead injured, look for Ridley and the Law Firm (GreenEllis) to pound the ball into the not so good Jets Run defense.

Packers: Aaron Rodgers looks like a machine right now and all of his receivers are playing well because of his elite ability. Jordy Nelson has stepped up this year as the WR2 in Green Bay, he poses a nice Flex option this week for anyone with a bye. Ryan Grant and James Starks should be able to run well against the Falcons who might be running around looking for the pass instead.

Falcons: Julio Jones is boosting his Dynasty value each week and should continue to have an impact this year. The Packers let up a lot of yards through the air the last few weeks, this could be a high scoring game. Dynasty leaguers, watch out for RB Jacquizz Rodgers as well. He provides versatility for the Falcons and they are going to need it against the Packers.

Bears:  Matt Forte will have a tougher time rushing for over 200 yards again against the Lions but still he is a great play because of his receiving ability. Bears wideouts and TE are in bottom ranks in fantasy this year so avoid them as of now too.

Lions: Megatron is a Beast and he can very well catch 2 more TDs this week against the Bears. The Bears can create turnovers but Stafford has a nice matchup anyway with TE Brandon Pettigrew. The Bears allow the most fantasy points to TE this year. Jahvid Best is also a nice play this week the Bears allow 5.1 YPC.
