Week 6: Thoughts and Preview
It is already Week 6 in the NFL season and the "Dream Team" is 1-4 and the Colts are still winless. Now both teams have bright spots, with the Colts it seems Curtis Painter has found a favorite target in Pierre Garcon. Garcon has racked up over 250 yards and 4 TD's the last two weeks boosting his Dynasty value and is a "sell now" type player. Mike Vick has 7 INT through 6 weeks, and he only threw 6 all of the 2010 season! Denver fans have won their Tim Tebow battle but will not get to see him play as they are on their bye this week. Division rival Raiders have found another bright spot in the offense in Darrius Heyward-Bey who is playing with WR2 potential the last two weeks and poses a lot of Dynasty value given his speed, age, and upside. He's still a risky play, we need to see more before we buy in. Still with a lot of teams on bye' this week, lets go through some thoughts of each team who will be playing this week. Week 6 Bye week teams: Arizona, Denver, Kansas City, San Diego, Seattle, Tennessee.

49ers: the 4-1 49ers are a nice surpise this season with a great defense, but this week facing the upstart Lions they face a tough test. Frank Gore might have a tough time getting the ball if the Lions get up early on in the game. The only 49er still who has a chance for a big game other than Gore is Vernon Davis. Even with the Lions tough pass defense Davis always has a chance to breakout given his huge upside and big play ability.

Lions: The Lions can go crazy in the passing game this week again because the 49ers give up the fewest fantasy points to RB's all season. Expect Stafford to pass a lot to his main targets Megatron, Pettigrew, and yes Jahvid Best. He will play a role in the passing game since running the ball will be a lot tougher this week.

Bills: With the Giants defense not the same, Stevie Johnson could have a nice game this week and as always you can put Fred Jackson in as he is a RB1 this year for sure. This could be a shootout as well so even TE Scott Chandler, who saw nice success the first two weeks of the season, might have a chance to score again.

Giants: Victor Cruz is a hot commodity, and he could be in line for another big week. His Dynasty value is rising and gives Manning another receiving option along with Beast Hakeem Nicks.  With Brandon Jacobs likely out this week again, Bradshaw will see more carries and has a good matchup to tear up the Bills defense. You can start any reliable Giant offensive player this week as well.

Colts: Pierre Garcon is a nice play if you have a big WR on a bye week. Garcon will be facing a mediocre Bengals pass and he has been hot the last two weeks. If you do not have space to put him in "sell high." With the Colts RB's injured, 3rd string Delone Carter has some value. Stash him on your roster as he should be splitting carries with Donald Brown this week.

Bengals: It is clear that A.J. Green is now a WR2 and is Andy Dalton's favorite target. By the way, they are 3-2(Carson who?) Jermaine Gresham could be in line for a nice game, he went for 9 catches 85 yards and a TD last year against the Colts. The Bengals have nice young Dynasty players with great upside and Gresham and Green can become Beasts in the coming years. Also, Cedric Benson has a nice matchup here.

Panthers: Cam Newton and Steve Smith have emerged has must plays, but we now have to find out which Carolina RB has the advantage. With a tough Falcons run defense it is tough see DeAngelo Williams go off again this week but last year he totaled 122 totaled yards against Atlanta. He is a more viable Flex option than Jonathon Stewart is this week.

Falcons: Michael Turner finally might breakout this week. In the last 5 games against the Panthers, Turner has rushed for 512 yards and totaled 9 TD's, and Carolina has given up the third most fantasy points to RB's this season. Matt Ryan has an average matchup but you never know with the likes of Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez. They will likely rely more on the run this week given Turner's history with the Panthers, but this game has shootout potential.

Eagles: Even with the horrid play by the Eagles so far, Vick and his dynamic offense always produce. Let's remember what Vick did in Week 10 to Washington last year. 333 passing yards, 80 rushing yards, and 6 total TD's. So all Eagles are a nice play this week, perhaps the offense really starts to click.

Redskins: The Skins do have a nice matchup with the leagues worst rushing defense in the Eagles. RB Ryan Torain, who rushed for over 100 yards two weeks ago, looks to be getting the bulk this week but you never know with Shanahan. He is a nice bye week play and with a good week again his Dynasty value will increase as well. Sell high if you can though given his injury history. Fred Davis could have a bounce back game this week too, with Philly's standout corners locking down on the WR's.

Jaguars: MJD is the only viable option this week against the Steelers. Before you you decide to make Blaine Gabbert a bye week QB for this week look at the fact that the Steelers allow the fewest QB fantasy points this season.

Steelers: Big Ben throwing 5 TD's last week was a relief to fantasy owners, and has a nice matchup this week again. The Jags allow the third highest points to opposing TE's this season, making Heath Miller a solid bye week option. Jonathan Dwyer is a nice waiver pickup for Dynasty Owners as he flashed upside with his 100+rushing yard game last week. Expect Rashard Mendenhall back this week, but it looks like his workload is in question at the moment.

Rams:  Coming off the bye, the Rams get welcomed by the 5-0 Packers. That means a rested and healthy Steven Jackson could total over 100 yards this week, but will probably see more success receiving than rushing if the Packers jump out to a big lead. Sam Bradford has a tough matchup but the week of rest will surely help him. He should be able to pass on this secondary, especially in the 2nd half.

Texans: Yes, Matt Schaub threw for over 400 yards last week without Andre Johnson, but now he's facing a blitz heaving Ravens D. Schaub's main targets are Owen Daniels, Arian Foster, with Jacoby Jones again disappointing despite the extra attention from Schaub. Joel Dressen, a hot target from last week, might be doing some heavy blocking instead. Kevin Walter could have a nice sleeper day, but the only Texan's who are reliable enough the play this week are Schaub, Foster and Daniels given their consistency of late.

Ravens: Anquan Boldin needs a breakout game, and this week could be it as he gets a lot of red zone targets. Ray Rice as always should be starting, he is an RB1. Other than that watch out for TE Ed Dickson who always seems to get Flacco's attention and rookie WR Torrey Smith. The Texans DB's are vulnerable to big plays even with a much better pass defense this year.

Browns: Peyton Hillis's role a question mark and Montario Hardesty has been playing well of late. The Raiders allow 5.2 YPC this season, so both could be decent FLEX plays. If Colt McCoy decides to throw the ball more this week, Ben Watson and and rookie WR Greg Little could see a good portion of the targets. Little's Dynasty value has gone up each week, and is now a starter. He is definitely one to watch in the coming weeks.

Raiders: Run DMC is a no question to play as he can get back on track this week with good matchup with the Browns run defense. Now with the emergence of Darrius Heyward-Bey the Raiders have another option on offense, and with a banged up Browns secondary, he is a nice bye week play. His Dynasty value will soar with another big game. He also has received 29 targets from Jason Campbell in the last 4 games. Denarius Moore has not been as involved lately, but don't cut bait just yet. He's a playmaker.

Saints: Marques Colston is back in the swing of things, but even with a nice performance last week, it is hard to pick a Saint WR to rely on. Drew Brees has found TE Jimmy Graham and RB Darren Sproles as his go to targets early this season. Look for the pass heavy Saints to do the same as the Bucs are 3rd in Run defense this year.

Buccaneers: LeGarrette Blount is most likely out for this week, opening the door for RB Earnest Graham. MJD and DeAngelo Williams in recent weeks have burned the Saints D, so Graham is a nice RB3/Flex this week. We are still waiting for a WR Mike Williams breakout too, but this week will be tough given the Saints tough CB's.

Cowboys: Miles Austin should return giving Romo another solid option alongside Dez Bryant and Jason Witten this week. The Patriots have not been able to stop the pass this year. They also have allowed the most fantasy points to WR's. Felix Jones is a nice FLEX play as well in the passing game and running.

Patriots: BJGE has been playing like a RB1/2 the last two weeks but the Cowboys only give up 3 YPC to opposing RB's. He's a dicey play. That means Brady should be passing a lot as usual and all of his receivers should be solid plays. TE Aaron Hernandez saw 9 targets last week after coming back from an injury so expect both him and Gronkowski to get a lot of targets too.

Vikings: AP of course is a go, but TE Visanthe Shiancoe could be in for a nice game as the Bears give up the most TE fantasy points. Other than that maybe Percy Harvin is a FLEX play given his recent success against the Bears. A quarter of his career TD's have come against the Bears.

Bears: Anyone not named Matt Forte is not a viable option this week. Mike Martz's passing offense is not clicking and Johnny Knox is being underutilized.

Dolphins: It will be tough for the Dolphins to get anything going Monday Night, but if it is anyone it can be RB Daniel Thomas. WR Brandon Marshall has had some success against the Jets in the past, but could find Revis all over him. Davone Bess can be a sleeper for new QB Matt Moore but do not expect to start these guys unless you need to.

Jets: The Dolphins are better against the run than the pass, so expect Mark Sanchez to get his passing game back intact. That makes TE Dustin Keller and his WR's Holmes and Burress all decent plays. Rookie WR Jeremy Kerley got his first three catches of the year last week and one was for a TD, so look out for him to emerge in the Jets offense as well. He is a nice Dynasty stash.
